Spring Fair 2019
Today I visited the 2019 Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. I went prepared with my little black book to plan the stands that I wanted to visit the most (although I pretty much ended up wandering everywhere). I mainly focused my attention on the Home section of the show in Hall 1 (I’m learning that my favourite stands are usually in Hall 1), but ventured into other areas for a quick look around. I wasn’t quite feeling mentally prepared for the Christmas section.
I saw loads of beautiful things for interior design projects today.
Spring Fair 2019 Highlights
Now to show you my top picks and highlights from the 2019 Spring Fair, there are quite a lot (mainly from Hall 1)… so I’ll just show you my favourites.
Please let me know which stands you like best…
Power Of One
This is not a stand as such, it was in the main entrance of the NEC for the event. Spring Fair is working with Power of One to promote a better environment for us all. The idea was to take a photograph in front of the poster and make a pledge on social media. Here is mine…
#SpringFair #PowerOf One. I pledge to use less unsustainable and single use packaging.
This sends such a beautiful and powerful message to all of us. We can all do a little something to help our home planet Earth.
Voyage Maison had such beautiful home accessories. I love their colourful watercolour like style as it’s so different from everyone else. My favourite print is their thistle print.
This stand was a really eye catching burst of vibrant colour that really stood out in Hall 1.
Fifty Five South
I fell in love with this beautiful white twig mirror on the Fifty Five South stand. They had some really lovely unique home accessories and furniture.
I seem to have managed to photograph myself in all of the mirrors.
I love bright accent colours for interiors.
Light & Living
There were so many beautiful light pendants and lamps on the Light & Living stand, and even some lovely little home accessories as well. Here are some snaps of my favourite light fittings.
Let there be light.
Coach House had some nice things as usual. I always like their selection of occasional chairs and found a really stunning black chair on the stand that I really loved. There were also some really interesting light fittings. I also really loved their use of greenery in some of the areas of their stand.
And as usual a lot of shiny things.
I loved some of the colours that Hill Interiors used on their stand. I particularly liked the emerald green colour on some of the upholstery. Emerald is my birth stone, so I can’t help but love the colour. They also had some very lovely shiny mirrors and a trendy oversized clock that I loved.
I feel like I need that emerald green bed.
I had a lovely day browsing around at Spring Fair 2019 and again I will ache tomorrow. I never seem to learn the whole bag thing and end up with so many on my shoulders. I had to take two trips to the car. Maybe next time I’ll take my little wheeled suitcase.
I really wanted to go to Maison Objet this year, but unfortunately I didn’t have the time. I will be going to a few more UK based trade shows this year though. I plan to visit April Interiors in Cheltenham in April (I think the name gave it away). I might go to a couple in London sometime this year as well. For now goodbye to Spring Fair until next year.
