Chalet C7 – Nicolas del Rio and Max Nunez (Chile)

Chalet C7 is located in the Andes Mountains of Chile. The chalet is set back into a slope to prevent interference with the landscape and it allows for beautiful views of the mountain lagoon.

The interior is set over two levels, the ground made from the same rock as the surrounding landscape that protects against the snow. The second level is completely open to the landscape where the Northern Lights can be seen. It is made from large metal beams, wood and glass.

It looks like a beautiful space to stay and relax. From every window, there is a beautiful view of the snowy mountains and lake. The area reminds me a bit of a lake in the mountains when I visited Switzerland. This may give me inspiration in the future for materials and locations for one of my future designs.

I could see this working equally well as a residential design or a commercial chalet design that works like a hotel as it is in such a beautiful setting.
