“We design spaces for people. Spaces that inspire and have a story to tell. Spaces that live and amaze far beyond the first impression.”
Novono is an Interior Architecture practice based in Berlin and Lisbon. The company design for both residential and commercial including hospitality and gastronomy and retail and showroom. Some of my favourite pieces of their design work are their hospitality designs as commercial design is one of my main interests in the world of Interior Architecture.
The Cage Club in Cologne, Germany consists of three levels with an upscale interior with art deco elements, designer furniture and mirrors. With its rich browns and beautiful metallic pieces, the Cage Club radiates luxury and glamour.
Another is the Bon Bon Bar in Berlin, Germany is a bar with a difference that stands out from the rest. Quality, style and atmosphere were key in the development of this design. The result is a glamourous immersive environment a world apart from the concrete streets of Berlin.
Café Schmus in Berlin, Germany was designed and realised in 2012 and is the restaurant in the Jewish Museum. The design reflects the contrast between the Baroque and Altbau elements of the building with a modern twist combining tradition with innovation.
This is one of my favourite interior architecture companies. As an Interior Architecture student, I find Novono an inspirational company and an aspirational company to work for. A lot of thought clearly goes into all of their designs. Their portfolio does not only show the finished result, it shows their concept sketches and drawings which is something important for me as a design student seeing how designs come together professionally. I find all of their designs very interesting, exciting and different, environments that I would like to find myself in as they are full of luxury and elegance that feels so special.
