“Ruggie – The World’s Best Alarm Clock.”

This is a world first for an alarm clock integrated into a rug. When the alarm goes off, you physically have to get up and stand on the rug to stop the alarm as the rug has a touch sensor. The built in speakers produce a loud alarm to get you to wake up.

Ruggie is a very successful Kickstarter with total pledges of $461,679. I think that is successful because getting out of bed even with an alarm is a real difficulty for a lot of people and this gives you no choice but to get out of bed. This could become very useful in interior design as well if more designs and colours become available. Additionally; technology is being used more and more in interiors.

It’s simply a genius idea and I think it will be very popular.
