The Barn Conversion Interior Site Visit
Today I went on a site visit to the barn conversion that I am working on at the moment with some amazing clients. This is easily one of the most stunning and impressive projects that I have been lucky enough to work on. It is a very elegant modern home as you can probably see from the work that the property has had done on it so far.
Current Beautiful Features
So here is just a sneak peak so far… I just love the incredibly high ceilings and huge windows. I know it isn’t finished yet, but I adore the beautiful luxurious finishes of all of the high end fittings that have been installed so far. Everything inside so far is so beautifully contemporary and sophisticated and completely adds to the modern luxurious feel of the building. So far the whole space flows perfectly with every material and finish complementing each other, which is really important in interior design.
The reclaimed red brick feature in the hallway really adds another level of beautiful design to the home. This will become the backdrop to the modern staircase that is going to be installed in the next few weeks for easier access to the first floor. I can’t wait to see it.
This reclaimed red brick feature continues in the large kitchen / dining / living space as a backdrop to the wood burning stove fireplace that should heat the space nicely during the winter months. What a beautiful space right next to bi-folding doors to look out to the beautiful countryside.
The SieMatic kitchen is just stunning. SieMatic produce some of the most beautifully elegant modern kitchens on the market. They are incredibly high quality and have that luxurious feel that we all love. I think that this monochrome style kitchen design is absolutely stunning and complements the columns and beams of the barn conversion perfectly.
And the beautiful kitchen and dining lighting adds to the modern and slightly industrial feel and echoes the barn history of the building through the industrial style materials selected for some of the light fittings.
The high quality finish continues throughout the perfectly flowing space, as you can see in the stunning modern yet glamorous bathroom interiors. The beautiful monochrome colours continue the luxurious and sophisticated feel.
I’m so excited to get started on the other spaces as they are all incredible. The bedroom spaces are going to look stunning, especially with those amazing high ceilings. The light fittings are up and look lovely against the metal beams and columns, especially in the master bedroom, so that’s an excellent start.
What Comes Next
In the next few weeks, we hope to get the fitted furniture and movable furniture planned and arranged before we start adding the finishing touches and accent colours to the space. We will be waiting a while for painting and decorating, and hanging wallpaper as the newly plastered walls will need time to dry out thoroughly beforehand. I am so excited to show you all when it’s finished.
Barn conversions into beautiful homes are really popular at the moment and the results are stunning. As well as being really impressive and beautifully designed buildings, the countryside views surrounding them just adds to the beauty.
